As a contributor of £1 billion worth of business to the regional economy, the creative and cultural industries always have something worth shouting about.
Whether big contract wins by small design agencies or secretive ground breaking art projects, there are many products, services, ideas and concepts out there in our sectors that can benefit from editorial coverage in a regional newspaper or via a local radio interview.
In advertising terms, free coverage can potentially be worth thousands of pounds by reaching brand new audiences and clientbases.
Sign up to find out how you can identify and secure positive publicity, learn tips and tricks when working with journalists, discover powerful PR ideas to communicate with residents and visitors in the region and help to increase the visibility of the creative and cultural industries in regional media and beyond. Speakers include:
* Ian Taylor, Commercial Director and Kurt Jacobs, Head of PR, Marketing Birmingham
* Marverine Cole, Broadcast Journalist Sky News and Austen Duffy, Director FunF Media
* Anna Blackaby, Creative Industries Editor Birmingham Post
* Jon Bounds, Social Media and Web Consultant
The event also incorporates a creative writing workshop led by Clark Baim, Co-Director of Change Point Training to identify, develop and write a piece of news, express your view or highlight a success as relevant to your work.
Strong written content generated from the workshop may, with your permission, then be submitted towards industry and business to business publications by Creative Republic on behalf of you and your organisation.
There is no charge for attending but please RSVP below so we can manage numbers. As recognition for providing a free event, our only request is that you sign up to our Charter. Numbers for the event are limited and if we are at capacity, priority will be given to Charter signatories. If you have not already done so, please sign up on line at www.creativerepublic.org.uk/charter.
